GOP responds to PolitickerNJ report on MCIA vendor contributions to Democrats

In response to a report this morning from PolitickerNJ.com that Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) vendors have donated thousands to county and local Democratic organizations with ties to MCIA executive director Richard Pucci, the state Republican Party went on offense.

“Every week it seems another layer is peeled back on this stinky onion, revealing a new level of scandal within the Middlesex County Democratic Organization – already well-known for its history of corruption and questionable ethics,” said Douglas V. Mayer, communications director for the New Jersey Republican State Committee.

“The news that Mayor Pucci and the MCIA are involved in a labyrinth of questionable dealings, secret bonuses, and contracts with firms politically connected to Democrat Party Chairman Wisniewski and Senator Bob Smith is actually par for the course,” he added. “Who knows what’s next, but it’s clear that anything is possible when the Middlesex County Democrats are involved.”
