The Brooklyn film and art venue Light Industry, located in Greenpoint at 155 Freeman Street, will stage a daylong screening of work by Chris Marker on Sunday, Aug. 26, in memory of the filmmaker, who died on Monday at the age of 91.

According to the announcement for the event, there will be remarks from Paul Chan, Tom McDonough, Molly Nesbit, Martha Rosler, Jason Simo and others. The event will late into the night with a screening of Mr. Marker’s 2004 film The Case of the Grinning Cat starting at midnight.
