Washington State Democrats laid out the welcome mat for Gov. Chris Christie and his trip to the Evergreen State Thursday in the form of a video.
The state’s Democratic Party likened Christie’s sometimes rough around the edges approach to reporters and certain outspoken town hall attendees to the state’s GOP gubernatorial hopeful, Rob McKenna.
“Rob McKenna’s relationship with the media is a little rough,” reads text on the video. “A problem he shares with other members of his party.”
The 36-second web video then shows clips of some of Christie’s noteworthy interactions with reporters and town hall members, including the governor’s recent exchange with a reporter where he asked, “Are you stupid?” after the reported attempted to ask an off-topic question during a news conference.
The video switches between clips of Christie and Washington’s McKenna before ending with, “Chris Christie: The wrong direction for New Jersey” and “Rob McKenna: The Wrong direction for Washington.”
Christie is in Washington state today to support GOP candidates, including McKenna.
