Gov. Chris Christie will make stops in Utah and MIssouri this weekend to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidates in those states.
On Saturday, the governor heads to Utah for appearances at two events to raise money for Gov. Gary Herbert. Herbert, who succeeded one-time presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman in 2009, faces Democrat Peter Cooke in the Nov. 6 election.
Sunday, Christie will head to Missouri to attend first a rally and later a fundraiser for Republican Gubernatorial hopeful Dave Spence. Spence, who ran into some trouble earlier this year after inaccuracies surfaced in his campaign biography, will face incumbent Democrat Jay Nixon in November.
