This October, Bushwick’s The Library is on Fire Headquarters will exhibit the artwork of Guided by Voices frontman Robert Pollard and the band’s singer/guitarist Tobin Sprout. The exhibition is called The Big Hat & Toy Show and will be an “interactive conceptual installation showcasing the world of Pollard, Sprout, and Guided by Voices,” whatever that means.

If you’re curious about what Mr. Pollard’s artwork is like, a release from the gallery quotes novelist Rick Moody: “You can see Duchamp in Pollard’s collages, as well as the influence of the painterly spaces of De Chirico and Yves Tanguy.”

The show will be up Oct. 5-6.

Here’s an oldie but a goodie for you all on this fine Friday.
