FLEMINGTON – Gov. Chris Christie is still keeping mum on who he plans to nominate next to the state’s highest court, but said Tuesday he’s completed interviews of all the finalists.
“I’ve completed the interviews,” he said during a news conference at Hunterdon Medical Center. “All of the finalists have been interviewed,” Christie said.
The governor wouldn’t indicate when an announcement would be made, but reiterated that he conducted finalist interviews and hinted that an announcement would be sooner rather than later.
Christie has not said whether he plans to announce both nominees at the same time.
His last two nominees – Phil Kwon and Bruce Harris – were rejected by the Democrat-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee.
