Banking personnel hit streets to aid storm victims

TRENTON – As Gov. Christie announced on Tuesday, the state Department of Banking and Insurance will have personnel on the streets of Sandy-devastated New Jersey on Thursday as part of Christie’s so-called ‘’mobile Cabinet” to assist victims of the storm.

 “Setting up these mobile offices gives us the opportunity to take information and assistance directly to people in their communities and give them all the help we can.” Acting Banking and Insurance Commissioner Ken Kobylowski said in the release listing the locations.  

The locations are as follows:

 

Middlesex County:

Sayreville Senior Center

423 Main Street

Sayreville, NJ 08872

 

Monmouth County:

West Park Recreation Center

615 West Park Avenue

Oakhurst, NJ 07755

 

Ocean County:

Berkeley Township Recreation Center

630 Route 9

Bayville, NJ

Banking personnel will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at these sites to answer questions, take complaints and assist storm victims.

The Department advises residents to bring insurance and claim paperwork with them.
