Late Tuesday night, Andrew Cuomo’s girlfriend, celebrity chef Sandra Lee, set the internet abuzz when she tweeted a photo of an ornate Christmas tree at the home she shares with the governor in Westchester. However, that tree, which came complete with a silver-plated tiger statue that cost up to $4,432.80, was just the beginning. Ms. Lee made another post last night indicating she decorated six other trees in their home.
“Mantle is wonderful and matches tree!! I did 7 tree’s again this year! White room done! Family room next,” Ms. Lee wrote.
Ms. Lee’s tweet included a picture of the stockings hung with care in the room with the tiger tree. The mantle is decorated with a siver-plated mirror that matches the tiger and an all-white motif to compliment the tree.
Last year, Ms. Lee also erected seven Christmas trees in the home she shares with the governor along with “a gingerbread village all around the kitchen.”
“My poor honey (boyfriend Andrew Cuomo, governor of New York) is going to come home and go, ‘Seriously?’” Ms. Lee told Parade magazine of her 2011 Christmas spread.
We reached out to Ms. Lee’s publicist to see if she will share photos of this year’s other six trees, but, as of this writing, we have yet to receive a response. If the other trees also include silver-plated animal statues, it would be a rather expensive holiday menagerie.
