TRENTON – In recognition of the victims of the mass murder at a Connecticut school Friday, Assemblymen Lou Greenwald and Jon Bramnick were asked by Speaker Sheila Oliver at the beginning of today’s voting session to read aloud names and ages of the students who died.
The lawmakers read aloud the names and ages of the teachers as well in a hushed Assembly chamber.
“Our hearts break today,’’ Bramnick said.
Oliver then asked all to rise in a moment of silence. Oliver said no matter what means of worship people turn to, all can identify with the pain that any parent would feel in such a situation.
