Next month, Virgin Atlantic first-class passengers will be able to shop for paintings, along with their Toblerones and other assorted duty-free fare, mid-flight.
The Daily Telegraph reports that the airline’s “Gallery in the Air” will feature work by street artist Ben Eine. Works will reportedly sell for $4,000 to $24,000.
“Oooo, I like that artwork.” “Thanks, I bought it from an airplane.” What happens next in that conversation? You’d think the first-classers would know better, but at least the plane will look nice. The exhibition, such as it is, runs from Feb. 1 through Feb. 28.
