Ladies and gentlemen, start your social engines: the 2013 New York International Auto Show is opening with a gala preview benefiting the East Side House Settlement, a community resource in the South Bronx. Sure, we will get dolled up for the benefit committee chair, the fashionable Fe Fendi, but we are most revved up to check out the show, especially the huge collection of futuristic concept cars (cue the theme to The Jetsons) and “exciting exotic” autos. There will be a live auction, lots of haute wheels and dinner.
The Jacob Javits Center, 11th Avenue at 35th Street, (718) 292-7392, cocktails 6-9pm, benefactor dinner 8:30pm.
