Yudin will give the LD 39 line to Schepisi and Auth

Bergen County GOP Chairman Bob Yudin celebrated districtwide convention wins by LD 39 candidates Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi and Old Tappan Republican Committee Chair Bob Auth, the second in three days.

After winning NERO on Thursday night, Schepisi and Auth were again the top two vote getters in a play for two seats at today’s LD 39 convention.

Schepisi received 210 votes and Auth 152.

Former Bergen Freeholder Rob Hermansen came in third with 107 votes. Businessman Michael Cino trailed with 11 votes.

Former Bergen Freeholder Clerk Karen Mastriano and Old Tappan Mayor Victor Polce did not compete in the district contest today after losing NERO.

“I am absolutely delighted at the results,” Yudin told PolitickerNJ.com. “It is very satisfying.”

Yudin said he will give the line to Schepisi and Auth. The latter, a former aide to state Sen. Gerald Cardinale (R-39), who ran with the senator’s support – will be the GOP replacement for indicted Assemblyman Robert Schroeder, who on Friday pleaded not guilty to chceck-kiting.
