Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, after Gov. Chris Christie called for a 10 percent tax cut, said in a release that “the governor announced a tax relief plan this morning for New Jersey. As soon as the legislation is drafted, I am asking Speaker Oliver to call a special legislative session in order to consider this important proposal.

“I am prepared to work with Speaker Oliver and other Democratic members on the legislation.”

However, Oliver and other leading Democrats were quick to denounce Christie’s call for a tax cut.
