EDA tables vote on $25M tourism effort

TRENTON – The Economic Development Authority tabled a vote on the proposed $25 million tourism campaign intended to drum up business in many Jersey Shore communities and elsewhere that were hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.

EDA Chairman Al Koeppe didn’t say specifically why the motion was tabled, other than saying EDA staff wanted to do its “due diligence and feel comfortable” before the board moved forward on the vote.

The Christie Administration asked for the funds as part of it large application to the federal government on post-Sandy relief funds that was approved by Congress.
