A Hudson County judge has ordered a delay in the printing of primary ballots due to a pending lawsuit concerning the Assembly candidacy of Carmelo Garcia.
The printing was set for Monday.
A suit filed by Hoboken residents asserts that Garcia cannot run in the June Primary while serving as executive director of the federally subsidized Hoboken Housing Authority.
Assignment Judge Peter F. Bariso wants a delay until he hears more details in the case, a source told PolitickerNJ.com.
Garcia is running for an Assembly seat in the 33rd District with state Sen. Brian P. Stack (D-33) and Jersey City Deputy Mayor Raj Mukherji.
