NEW BRUNSWICK – Despite being absent from the table when Senate President Steve Sweeney called for his resignation, a source confirmed that Mark Hershhorn was present for a closed door meeting of the Rutgers Board of Governors.

Hershhorn’s seat at the Board of Governors Thursday meeting sat empty earlier when Sweeney addressed the governing body and demanded Hershhorn’s resignation. The top Senate lawmaker claims the board member “failed in his responsibility” and should be removed immediately.

A source told PolitickerNJ Hershhorn was present during the closed session. The source said they didn’t know why Hershhorn chose not to appear during the open session.
