TRENTON – The Democratic presumptive gubernatorial candidate has submitted another $86,706 in privately raised contributions to obtain public matching funds, the state Election Law Enforcement Commission reported Wednesday.
It was the ninth submission for the primary by state Sen. Barbara Buono, ELEC reported.
Candidates for governor who raise at least $380,000 are eligible for $2 in public matching funds for every $1 they raise from private sources, ELEC stated. The first $122,000 in private contributions is not eligible for a match.
That brings her total submissions to $1,074,533, ELEC filings show.
On Tuesday, ELEC reported that it had OK’d an additional $207,538 in public matching funds for her gubernatorial campaign
