ROSELLE – Confronted with Gov. Chris Christie’s characterization of her call for Archbishop John Myers to resign, state Sen. Barbara Buono (D-18) shot back today.
“Leadership is protecting our children from pedophiles,” said the presumptive Democratic nominee for governor.
At his press conference in Camden yesterday, the governor stopped short of calling for the resignation of Myers, who allowed a priest who had groped a boy to keep working with children, according to news reports.
“I will say this, leaders who make decisions purely based upon media accounts are irresponsible and they are grandstanding, and we don’t need more of that,” Christie said, according to PolitickerNJ.com.
