Currie (can’t) can do both

UPDATE: Our astute readers point out that the state committee changed its bylaws last night so Currie can, in fact, do both.

Newly minted state Democratic chairman John Currie won’t be able to hold onto his post as the head of the Passaic County Democrats, according to the state party’s bylaws.

According to the bylaws, “(t)he Party Chairperson shall not simultaneously serve as a County Chairperson.”

Currie, who was annointed last night to run the state party, will serve in the position until after the gubernatorial election.
