The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) poked at Gov. Chris Christie shortly after the Republican governor made his announcement that the special general election for U.S. Senate would be held this year.
“Republicans have not won a Senate race in New Jersey in more than 40 years,” said DSCC Deputy Executive Director Matt Canter. “Their only shot was an appointee who had a year and a half to establish themselves before an election in 2014. With this news I assume operatives at the NRSC are busy planning Christie’s defeat in Iowa and New Hampshire right now.”
