TRENTON – Former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan this afternoon announced that he will be filing to run in a special election for U.S. Senate with over 7,200 petition signatures.

“The challenge was to go out and get 1,000 signatures,” Lonegan told the press corps assembled just inside the Division of Elections headquarters.

“We’re going to file with over 7,200 signatures,” Lonegan declared.
