The Art Newspaper reports that the Museum of Modern Art has purchased Ellsworth Kelly’s Black Form II (2012) from his current show at Matthew Marks Gallery.

The museum confirmed the purchase, though declined to comment on the price. The report notes that Mr. Kelly’s prices tend to start at $2 million.
