Justin Myers will be the Democratic State Committee’s new executive director, according to two sources close to the commttee.
A seasoned Democratic Party operative with statewide reach, Myers celebrated back-to-back victories in 2011 and 2012 respectively, first as the campaign manager of state Sen. Jim Whelan’s (D-2) re-election, and then as the campaign manager of U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell’s (D-9) resounding win.
Myers also served as field director for Rep. Jim Himes’ (D-Conn.) 2010 re-election and worked on Long Island, Queens and Manhattan campaigns.
