Reports: Pallone speaks; Norcross backing Booker

Set to formally kick off his special election U.S. Senate candidacy in Trenton this afternoon, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6) last night told the AP he’s running.

“At the end of the day, we’re all going to run on our records,” said Pallone. “I believe my record of 25 years in Congress and the legislation that I’ve sponsored and the initiatives I’ve worked on show I’m the best person to get the job done.”

Also last night, South Jersey Democratic Leader George Norcross III threw his support behind Newark Mayor Cory Booker for U.S. Senate, according to a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
