Not a Marilyn Monroe-themed party, “Some Like It Hot,” is the name of the Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic’s summer party at the Racquet and Tennis Club. After cocktails on the terrace overlooking Park Avenue, music director Alan Gilbert presents a private chamber music performance by the New York Philharmonic musicians followed by a seated dinner and dancing. The benefit committee includes Alexandra Porter, Jacob A. Goldstein, Edward Barsamian, Mark Gilbertson, Melissa Morris and Will Willis, to name a few.
Racquet and Tennis Club, 370 Park Avenue, (212) 753-9700, 7:30pm-midnight, tickets start at $295.
