Former Gov. Dick Codey has thrown his support to Newark Mayor Cory Booker in Booker’s bid for the U.S. Senate.
“For more than a decade, Cory Booker has worked tirelessly to bring people together and find solutions to the challenges facing Newark families,” Codey said “That’s exactly the kind of leadership that our state needs in Washington right now,” said Codey, who served as New Jersey’s governor from 2004 to 2006. “Cory Booker is the right person at the right time.”
With two weeks left until the primary, Booker leads in all polls to date and has raised more than $6 million in his bid to win the seat vacated with the death of U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
