In two battleground state Senate races, the Democratic incumbents are outpacing their GOP challengers.
In LD 2, state Sen. Jim Whelan (D-2) (pictured) raised $84,401 this period and has $138,549.49 cash on hand.
His challenger, Atlantic County Sheriff Frank Balles, reported raising $9,800 and now has $112,797 cash on hand, according to ELEC.
In LD 38, state Sen. Robert Gordon (D-38) raised $111,466 and has $197,510.65 on hand. His challenger, attorney Fernando Alonso, raised $3,154 and reported a closing campaign balance of $19,201.
