Event organizers watching weather for Fulop’s historic swearing-in ceremony

JERSEY CITY – Event organizers this afternoon watched the weather and hovered at the edge of making a final determination about where Jersey City Mayor-elect Steven Fulop will be sworn-in.

It’s supposed to happen at City Hall, but the rain has city and campaign personnel wondering if the location will work.

The event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., and Gov. Chris Christie, U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), former governors and many other dignitaries are expected to be in attendance.

Organizers will make a call in the next hour about where the event will take place.

If it is re-routed from city hall, it will occur at the Harborside Atrium, organizers told PolitickerNJ.com.
