The Metropolitan Museum of art will host a conference of museum directors, according to the New York Times. It is scheduled to be held April 7-18, 2014.
Called the “Global Museum Leader Colloquium,” the Met will bring together about a dozen museum directors from Africa, Asia and Latin America. Thomas P. Campbell, the Met’s director, told the Art Newspaper, “It is a long-term investment, hopefully, it will open the gate to exhibitions and other programmes that the public will benefit from.”
