EAST RUTHERFORD – Democrat Milly Silva will assume the role of campaign attack dog on day one of her campaign to be New Jersey’s next lieutenant governor.
Emphasizing her Latina roots, the executive vice president of SEIU 1199 plans to take the fight directly to the sitting Republican governor on behalf of Democratic gubernatorial nominee state Sen. Barbara Buono (D-18).
“So as a member of the Latino community, I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to talk about Chris Chrsitie’s dismissal of one-fifth of New Jersey’s population,” she plans to say this morning. “…The only thing standing in the way of tuition equality in New Jersey is Chris Christie. His veto of $7.5 million in funding for women’s clinics four years in a row impacts Latinas significantly.”
