Good luck if you’re thinking of getting back into Brooklyn via the Williamsburg Bridge tonight.
A BMW burst into flames this afternoon, causing the outer roadway to be closed. It didn’t take long for photos to hit Twitter and Instagram:

According to bedfordandbowery.com the fire is now out, but it will take a while for the road to be re-opened.
UPDATE: A spokesman for the FDNY has confirmed that the bridge is now re-opened and the car has been cleared away. They still have no idea what caused the blaze.
