Booker TV ad buy focuses on S. Jersey

Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s Senate campaign rolled out its first television ad Wednesday that will focus primarily on South Jersey.

The ad, titled “Desk,” calls on New Jerseyans to “come together” to raise the minimum wage and enact stricter gun-control measures, while declaring that Booker, “Didn’t sit behind a desk waiting for problems” as mayor, rather, he “took them on.”

Booker’s campaign declined to disclose the amount of the ad buy, but indicated in a news release the television spot was purchased on cable in the Philadelphia media market. New Jersey’s television coverage areas encompass both Philadelphia and New York markets.
