Assemblyman Albert Coutinho (D-29) has resigned his LD 29 Assembly seat, according to Assembly Majority Office Spokesman Tom Hester, Jr.
Coutinho addressed his letter to Dana Burley, clerk of the New Jersey General Assembly.
“This letter serves to confirm that I am resigning my position as Assemblyman from the 29th District, effective immediately,” Cotuinho wrote. “Thank you for your help over the years.”
A source told PolitickerNJ.com that Coutinho is the target in a corruption probe.
