Life for smokers in Carroll Gardens just got a little more dangerous.
A 29-year-old woman was smoking on a sidewalk along Luquer Street at around 9:50 pm on Sunday night when a man came up to her and asked for a cigarette. But when she denied his request, he stabbed her, possibly with an ice pick, reports DNAinfo.

She was rushed south to Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park. So far there haven’t been any updates on her condition or the status of the nicotine-starved attacker.
