TRENTON – A veterans chamber of commerce official has joined the statewide chamber as vice president of member services.
Lawrence Krompier, who was director of member service in 2007-08, rejoined the state Chamber of Commerce, the organization reported Tuesday.
He had been executive director of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, and before that had been a consultant for the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council and the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce.
The state chamber’s membership organization director the last three years, Al Romeo, will retire, the chamber reported, and he will be staying on as a business consultant.
Krompier said he was thrilled to return to the chamber.
“I have the unique perspective of having worked for both the New Jersey chamber and for local chambers,’’ he said, “so I know firsthand how important and effective the state chamber’s work is on behalf of the business community.”
Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the chamber, applauded Krompier’s return.
“Larry brings a wealth of experience leading chambers of commerce and a private business in New Jersey,” Bracken said. “I am confident Larry will translate that expertise into new dimensions of value for our members.”
