To Do Friday: Bike Takeover

Give your workout routine a break, and get fit for a good cause. Equinox cycling instructors will put you through your paces on 100 bikes they’ll use for four scheduled rides. This just may be your first pedal toward participating in their indoor team cycling fundraiser for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (essentially, a four-hour bike-athon). This event is a mini outdoor preview as they gear up for the March main event. You’ll sweat it out alongside Ethan Zohn, professional soccer player and winner of Survivor, and Kyle Post, star of Broadway show Kinky Boots, as well as actual survivors of rare cancers, doctors and patients from the Cancer Center.

Cycle for Survival Times Square Takeover, Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets, 646-227-2300, 9 a.m -7 p.m., $20.14 donation
