East Brunswick Mayor David Stahl’s campaign began airing a new television ad Thursday attacking incumbent Assemblyman Peter Barnes.
The ad, entitled “The Barnes Effect,” hit Barnes on a couple of fronts, including a familiar theme by GOP candidates of criticizing lawmakers who voted on proposals during the course of their careers that increased their own salaries.
The strategy was first rolled out against Sen. Barbara Buono by Gov. Chris Christie’s re-election team.
The ad began airing Wednesday and will run for an unspecified amount of time.
