To mark an upcoming ceremony, U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-8) today honored Steve Adubato, Sr. on the floor of the United States Congress.

“An inspiring figure of Newark, New Jersey,” said Sires in his floor remarks, referring to the Democratic leader, founder of the Blue Ribbon-winning Robert Treat Academy and mentor to Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo.

“Mr. Adubato has continued to work to improve the quality of life of everyone in the community from young to senior citizens,” added the congressman, referring to the five institutions that comprise the North Ward Center, including the charter school and Casa Israel for seniors.

Adubato’s poltiical allies will dedicate a statue of Adubato on the main campus of the North Ward Center in Newark on Oct. 28th.
