I know, I know, art-related smartphone apps generally tend to underwhelm me too, but it turns out that the Carnegie Museum of Art’s is pretty great. I just downloaded it, and it has a boatload of content about its Carnegie International, which opens to press in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
It’s pretty comprehensive, with images of more than 200 artworks in the show, bios of artists and quite a few video and audio features with artists and curators discussing the work. And while it’s only available for Apple products, the exhibition’s website is also hosting the content.
Serious spoilers here, let me warn you (think twice before downloading), but also plenty to whet your appetite. You can download it here.
