This star-studded fundraiser, co-chaired by Mario Batali, Liv Tyler, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Casey Affleck, benefits the Lunchbox Fund, which provides meals for poor and at-risk schoolchildren in South Africa. It will celebrate the launch of its Feedie app, which wants to “turn foodies into feedies.” Take a photo of your next meal at participating restaurants such as City Winery, Indochine, La Esquina and the Beatrice Inn and upload them to Facebook or Twitter, and the restaurant will make a donation to the Lunchbox Fund. Artwork by luminaries such as Shepard Fairey, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Lou Reed, Mick Rock, Kiki Smith, Michael Stipe and others will be auctioned off. With a benefit committee that includes Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Helena Christensen, Billy Crudup, Karen Elson, Spike Jonze and Salman Rushdie, plus a surprise musical performance, you’re in for endless rounds of art, fashion and entertainment sightings.
