Eustace leads Scarpa in LD38 by 44 votes; Tedesco widens lead over Felice

HACKENSACK – Following provisional ballot tallies in Bergen County, Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-38) holds an unofficial 44-vote lead over Republican challenger Joseph Scarpa.

There are an additional 39 votes to be counted tomorrow out of Hawthorne.

Republican sources in the room say this one is headed for a recount.

In the freeholder contest, there was good news for Democrats.

Former Paramus Mayor James Tedesco, a Democrat, tonight widened his lead over incumbent Republican Freeholder John Felice.

Tedesco picked up more than 200 provisional votes tonight and now leads the incumbent by roughly that same amount.
