Lautenberg remembered in A.C.

The late U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg, a former staple at the league’s annual luncheon, was honored earlier today in Atlantic City.

Lautenberg’s widow, Bonnie Englebart Lautenberg, received a posthumous award on behalf of her late husband that recognized the longtime federal lawmaker for his advocacy on behalf of the state.

Bonnie Lautenberg’s speech drew laughs from the crowd when she declared the former senator may have been Jewish, “but he loved pork,” she joked, referring to his lobbying for the state.
