Atlantic County Democratic Chairman Jim Schroeder (pictured) said Democrats and Republicans are wading through the final 250 provisional ballots in the contentious race for the Assembly in LD2.
“We’re in Pleasantville now and the Republicans are challenging every vote,” said Schroeder, who backs Northfield Mayor Vincent Mazzeo, challenger to Assemblyman John Amodeo (R-2).
Down by 58 at this moment, Mazzeo, a Democrat, hopes to gain on Amodeo in heavily Democratic Pleasantville where there are 77 provisional ballots at stake.
Schroeder said whoever emerges victorious tonight will have to get over another obstacle: a Judge.
“We’ll be in court on Friday and probably thereafter,” Schroeder said.
