Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney cracked about Gov. Chris Christie’s weight around the time he considered tapping the New Jersey governor as his running mate, according to a new book.
Romney reportedly joked with his aides after watching a video of Christie who was without his suit jacket.
The book – “Double Down: Game Change 2012” – also describes Christie concluding that Romney’s election team was “a gaggle of clowns who couldn’t organize a one-ring circus,” The Washington Post reports.
Christie reportedly berated a Romney advisor after his keynote address at the Republican National Convention drew criticism, telling the advisor to “leave [him] the [expletive] alone.”
