It was hard to ignore the giant leg brace worn by LD16 Assembly candidate Marie Corfield, who earlier today was seated in the front row of the Middesex County Democratic Committee hot dog rally at the same table as U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ).
“Stress fracture,” explained the Democratic challenger to Assemblywoman Donna Simon (R-16).
It occurred while Corfield was pounding on doors, she said.
This is Corfield’s third shot at the LD16 seat. She’s the Hunterdon County teacher who went toe-to-toe with Gov. Chris Christie over his public pen-ben plan.
