Feminism gets fancy and rocks out at the Feminist Press Annual Gala Dinner. Pioneering riot grrrl rocker Kathleen Hanna, whose latest album with the Julie Ruin, Run Fast, was recently released, will attend along with activist and writer Michaela Angela Davis, Gillian Small, vice chancellor for research at CUNY, and Debbie Storey, chief diversity officer and senior vice president of talent at AT&T. Surely Joan Jett, who’s also celebrating a new release,Unvarnished, will bring her edgy rocker vibe as she presents the AT&T Awards.
