Looking to sound cultured at Thanksgiving dinner? Spend Thanksgiving Eve checking out the New York Public Library’s The Dance Historian Is In series with David Vaughan, in which he’ll introduce and screen two short dance films featuring the choreography of Merce Cunningham, who directed them with Eliot CaplanChanging Steps, with music by John Cage, and Deli Commedia, which the Merce Cunningham Trust calls a “nod to the improvised farces of the 18th-century commesia del’arte.” Mr. Caplan will be joining Mr. Vaughan to discuss his work.
