LoBiondo criticized for vote to repeal ACA in new web ad

Congressman Frank LoBiondo (R-2) is the target of a new web ad that’s criticizing him for voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee rolled out a video highlighting the “cost of Congressman LoBiondo’s repeal.” The ad is part of the committee’s “Faces of Repeal” campaign that aims to highlight how residents would suffer “under his and House Republicans’ reckless plan to repeal” the ACA, according to the DCCC.

“Don’t let insurance companies do whatever they want,” urge people in the video.

Among the people publically vying for the Democratic Party’s nomination to oust LoBiondo is attorney Bill Hughes Jr.

LoBiondo’s campaign responded by arguing the national health care reform falls short of protecting New Jersey residents.

“If the national Democrats and Bill Hughes Jr. think Obamacare is the height of perfection, they are ignoring the South Jersey families whose plans were canceled and small business owners whose premiums have increased,” the campaign said in a statement. “Congressman LoBiondo is committed to making healthcare affordable for everyone while ensuring the doctor-patient relationship is preserved.”
