Normally, I’d be disappointed if an event called Dish didn’t involve actually being fed, but this hot mix of chefs, bakers and authors can be forgiven for making my mouth water. You’ll hear from Ivan Orkin, chef of Tokyo restaurant Ivan Ramen and author of the cookbook of the same name, Brooklyn’s Matt Robicelli, who along with his wife, Alison, has written Robicelli’s, A Love Story With Cupcakes about their unique approach to baking and business (can you say “chicken ’n’ waffles cupcake”?), Rebecca Coffey, author of the humor book Neitzsche’s Angel Food Cake: And Other “Recipes” for the Intellectually Famished, and food and spirits columnist Warren Bobrow, author of Apothecary Cocktails: Restorative Drinks from Yesterday and Today. Kimberly M. Wetherell of Spirited and David Gutowski of Largehearted Boy will present the event.
