Gov. Chris Christie is poised to give up the battle to get at least one of his Supreme Court nominees to the bench, according to published reports.
The governor filed a notice of intent to nominate Robert Hanna as a lower court judge, according to the Associated Press. Hanna is one of two Christie nominees to the state’s high court who Democratic lawmakers have refused to give a confirmation hearing.
The wire reported Christie’s office took steps to nominate Hanna as a Superior Court judge.
